Corn Bread

1 cup all purpose flour
¾ cup cornmeal
2 ½ tablespoons sugar
2 ½ teaspoons baking powder
¾ teaspoon salt
2 beaten eggs
1 cup milk
¼ cup cooking oil or melted butter

In medium bowl stir together flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder, and salt. In a small bowl combine eggs, milk and oil. Add egg mixture all at once to flour mixture. Stir just until moistened. Pour batter into greased 9 x 13 pan or into greased or lined muffin cups. Bake at 400 degrees for 15-20 minutes, or until wooden toothpick inserted near center comes out clean.
